God Bless all of the FDNY firefighters and officers. Keep up the great work all of you do. I was a volunteer firefighter for The Amity Fire Co of Douglassville, Pa for over 10 years. On May 16th my wife is taking me to the 9/11 Memorial for my birthday and we are also going to stop by some of the firehouses near the memorial. Your firehouse is on the top of the list and I'm hoping to be able to meet some of the bravest of the FDNY.

FDNY Tenhouse Documentary

Filmed and Produced by Rafael Fernandez aged 17 years old
Filming Dates: June 11th- June 16th (9am-8pm variations)

The things I am hoping to accomplish are:

Film and document the daily firehouse life
Capture numerous Rigs rolling out
Ride along on runs (I know its frowned upon but maybe an exception for this film)
Capture the FDNY Operations on scene
Interview veterans and newer people on several topics
All funds that would generate from this project would be given to the firehouse
Have my dream come true of roaming and riding with the FDNY
Show my appreciation to the FDNY
Roam around and outside the firehouse with the crews for 5 days (I have my own hotel )
Eat with the crew like a family

Purpose:

To document the life of FDNY firefighters on the job at Tenhouse 10 years after 9/11 and showing how those who were not there to expierience it are learning from those who did.
Each firehouse has its own stories and Im not asking to be another typical tourist that you see everyday, but rather someone who can hopefully be welcomed like family and hang around the house. Ofcourse I have to receive permission and acknowledgement before doing anything but Im hoping I am allowed to do this project.
I myself am from Atlanta, Dominican, 17 years old, I attend Riverside Military Academy as a first lieutenant and Executive Officer of an entire company of 70+ cadets. Im a rising senior in the academy and ever since I was young I have always loved the FDNY. So much that I created the most detailed FDNY Game to date. It is based off another series called Emergency and Ive created the Manhattan Modification. With 2 years developing the project we released for free. Tenhouse is the headlining company in the game and weve recreated your rigs in a virtual Manhattan! If your not convinced yet check these out!

Even after this project, I still didnt feel accomplished and satisfied. I wanted to go NYC once more and be able to see and work with the FDNY first hand. This project would deffinately wrap up my highschool career with a story to tell. Please consider it and contact me back at rafaelmfernandez@yahoo.com

Just wanted to pay my respects to the Tallon family. I am part of a USAR team based in Ohio as a K-9 handler. I am starting a new pup in the next 8 weeks or so. His name will be Tallon in honor of Sean. I would like let the family know.
Thank you for the opportunity to post.

This message is for John Moore. I saw our old friend Matt from Fridays today. He was coaching soccer against my ex-husband John. It made me think of u and I wanted to see how u were doing. I've tried finding u before but your a tough one. Drop me a line if you want. I see Matt almost every Sunday. I don't think he recognizes me. I'm not the 22 yr. old waitress anymore.lol

Just stopping by to say hello from Lapeer,Mi. I am on a local volunteer fire department department here. I have recently been collecting fire department patches to put on my 8x10 fire department flag, and was wondering if it was possible if i could get an FDNY and Ten house patch to add to my collection, this would be my first FDNY house patch to put on it. it would be greatly appreciated.
