FDNY Ten House Guestbook

Comments:
Hello brothers. I am a FF in southeast kansas. My wife and I had the previlage to be in NYC back in Feb. We spent just 2 days there seeing the sights and making the Letterman show. When we arrived late the first night the 1st place we went was ground zero and ten house. I will never forget the the feelings I had on 9/11, wanting to be there to support my FDNY brothers. Nor will I forget the memory and the feeling I had when I walked up to ground zero and ten house. I am terrible with names, but thanks to the "big guy" sitting in the small dispatch area for letting us in to warm up and look around. It meant so much. I never did get a t-shirt and thats ok, I'll get it next time. Thank you, stay safe, and God Bless. Feel free to email anytime, would love to hear from any of you.

Dear Firefighters,
Last night (September 30, 2008, around 10 PM) you came and opened a stuck elevator. The nearest FDNY station is Engine 7, Ladder 1, Battalion 1, and I assume the men came from that company. Unfortunately, they have no web site where I can leave a thank-you note.

Dear web master: Can you make sure they get this note? The men were fast and efficient, stayed curteous and kept a smile on their faces. Everyone in our building like to thank you very much.
Bo

I am a volunteer for the Youngwood fire department and I wish you guys the very best. May God be with you day in and day out. Be safe and continue to be the very best and the role models for the rest of us. I hope to one day make it to 10 House to visit, but if I don't my prayers will still be with you everyday. We here at Youngwood will never forget. We actually brought a truck to 9-11 and helped for three days. I still have a light that was given to me by a member of the FDNY and I hold it close to my heart to this day.

Hello,
I don't know how often these posts get read, but I plan to become a career firefighter after high school and have been looking at colleges offering fire science and other majors like that. CUNY is looking really promising, have any of the Ten house firemen gone there? I'd appreciate any information, if not, keep doing what you do. Thanks.
