Hi

my son loves anything to do with fdny. He watched a programme about the work you did on 9/11 and how ten house was affected. I bought him a 9/11 t shirt and cap from the fdny shop a couple of years ago but I would like to buy him something with ten house on for christmas. Is there anywhere I can buy on from. He wants to visit the 9/11 memorial and tenhouse so that he can have his photo took outside. I really do hope you can be of assistance to us.

Regards
Jacquie

Hi guys!

I'm looking for Gerrit Nijboer! He's the cousin of my buddy Robin Nijboer and I'd like to visit him at his station. I'm in New York until the 18th, so could you let me know asap if I can come by? :) If you look me up on Facebook you'll see I'm not a creepy stalker person, haha!

Greetings,
Ervina

Gentleman,

I just finished watching the documentary done by the Naudet brothers. Grateful to realize you guys lost nobody from your house, but bittersweet knowing how many of your fellow brothers you lost in total.

I have always been proud of my Midwestern roots, and I already knew that you NY guys are tough and tough minded people. I WAS an apprentice lineman, and I laughed at the arrogance at the t-shirts some of these guys would wear (with little-man syndrome)that said, "Even firemen need heros"; I can't imagine anything and more offensive knowing the work you guys do.

Is their a fund I can contribute to for YOUR benefit? I guess I am asking if I was able to direct some funds for benefit of the house as you fellas saw fit. I know your collective wisdom would direct the funds to what you guys consider the most appropriate, unless you tell me make the check out to 'Benny The Firefighter'!

Regards guys,
-Bob Anderson

My daughter who was 18 at the time and I visited the 10 house in the evening of June 28th and met a couple of the most awesome down-to-earth guys. I've spent the past three weeks trying to figure out who they were to contact them again, yes I did a Craigslist ad and had no luck :-( we are hoping to be back in NYC in September and would love to see these guys again. I know that one of them was not from the ten house, he was from a station in Queens and the other one I'm not one hundred percent sure about but these guys were amazing. Non judgemental which is really hard to find. In case I never do get in touch with them again, I just want to say thank you for the conversation and for making this trip to NYC the best one yet! (Fingers crossed our paths meet again) :o

I'm a 67 year old 14 year member of the paid on call Plymouth Fire Dept. We're a suburb of Minneapolis, population 70,000,
I'll be at Ground Zero the 19th with a patch from my home town of New Ulm, Minnesota. I hope I can visit Ten House to pay my respects to your Truck and Engine Companies and the tragic loss of your firefighting brothers.

I stopped by this past Monday, I built a custom wooden flag and brought it from Cleveland to present it to Ladder 10 as a token of my appreciation and to let them know we will never forget what they've done and what they do on a daily basis. God Bless America

My son who has graduated Broward Fire Academy (Florida), and then enlisted in the U.S. Army is in Long island visiting his mother after not seeing her for five years since deployment, my son and I we will both be together in Brooklyn only for a few days ( July 15 - July 18th. On my last visit to the City in 2013, I stopped by 10 house while walking around in the city and was deeply moved just seeing the station and the amazing beautiful trucks displaying all the glory of the historical day, I told my son about what I seen and the significance of the location of 10 house. He really wants to visit your station and share in the importance of it all. While going to fire academy he once said to me " Dad, you know why I love being a Fire Fighter, because it's Noble ) I hope you have room on your busy schedule to make it possible for us to have a father & Son moment together. God bless you all and God bless America.
